What we collect, and what we will never do with it.

Who we are

MediKin ("MediKin," "we," "us") is operated by Medikin Health, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

This policy covers the MediKin website at medikinhealth.com and the emails we send you. It applies to everyone who visits the site or gives us their email address.

What we collect

Information you give us. Right now, that is your email address, submitted when you request The EM Job Search Playbook. If you write to us, we also have whatever you put in that message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our analytics and advertising tools may record:

• Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
• The link or ad that brought you here (including campaign tags in the URL)
• Your approximate location, derived from your IP address — city or region, not an address
• Your device type, browser, and operating system

Information we do not collect. We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your NPI, your DEA number, your medical license number, your malpractice history, or any patient information. Please do not send these to us.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel. In plain terms: a small piece of code on this site tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that a visit or a signup happened, so we can tell which ads and posts are actually reaching emergency physicians and stop paying for the ones that aren't.

This means Meta may receive information about your visit to this site and may connect it to your Meta account if you have one. Meta's own handling of that data is governed by Meta's privacy policy, not ours. You can limit this through your Meta ad preferences, your browser's cookie settings, or a tracking-blocker extension. The site works fine if you block them.

How we use it

• To send you the Playbook and, later, to tell you when matching opens
• To send occasional emails about job search, contracts, and site evaluation — the same subject matter as the Playbook
• To measure which channels bring physicians to the site, so we spend our small budget where it works
• To improve the Playbook and the product based on what people actually read and ask about
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not use your information to build a profile that is sold, rented, or handed to employers or recruiters.

Who we share it with

We share information with the vendors who make the site run. Today, that means:

• Kit — stores your email address and delivers our emails
• Meta Platforms — receives site activity through the Meta Pixel for ad measurement and audience building
• Cloudflare — hosts the site

Each of these has access only to what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we are ever part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the pixel activity described above.

The anonymity commitment

Matching is not live yet. When it launches, this is the promise we are building toward and intend to hold ourselves to:

• No employer, recruiter, group, or health system sees your name, your face, your current site, or your contact information unless you have affirmatively chosen, for that specific opportunity, to be introduced.
• Your current employer cannot search for you, be alerted that you are on the platform, or be told that you are looking.
• You can withdraw from a conversation at any point before an introduction and remain unidentified.

When matching launches, this policy will be updated with the specific mechanics of how identity is protected, and you will be told what changed before you use it.

Your choices

Unsubscribing. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and we stop. We won't ask why, and we won't email you again.

Access, correction, and deletion. Contact us and ask us what we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it within 30 days and confirm when it's done. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect anything else.

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or a state with similar law, you have specific rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. The instructions above are how you exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

If you are in the EU or UK, you additionally have the right to object to processing, to request portability of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for sending you the Playbook and related emails is your consent; for analytics and security, our legitimate interest in operating the site.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and then we remove it from our active list. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. If you never open a single email from us for two years, we will remove you from the list ourselves.

Security

Your information is held by established vendors using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and access is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and directly, and we will tell you what we know rather than what sounds best.

This is not medical, legal, or financial advice

The Playbook and everything else we publish is general information for physicians evaluating jobs. It is not legal advice about your contract, and reading it does not create an attorney–client relationship or any professional relationship. Have a contract attorney review anything you sign.

Children

This site is for practicing physicians and physicians in training. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects what we do with your information, we will email everyone on the list before the change takes effect — not just quietly update the date at the top. The date at the top will change too.
